Will be back to take in the ambiance, as I was on the run had to get my order to go. Love how this cafe is kind of hidden you have to walk down the stairs gives it more personality. ”

Located in the basement of an old house, it has an incredible atmosphere, chill music playing just loud enough to be heard, but without interrupting conversation. Latte is fantastically made, with a nice little sugar crust on top. Went with the toasted everything bagel and plain cream cheese. Perfect little brunch snack while waiting between appointments. Will certainly keep this place on my radar for my visits to this area. ”

The atmosphere is laidback and chill. The cafe is very clean. Music was very relaxing and played at a sound level. I was able to work remotely from the cafe in peace, surrounded by other remote workers andor students studying. The Vanilla Latte was impeccable and I cant wait to return more frequently. Kudos!! ”
“ BEST COFFEE SHOP IN DETROIT!! I love Cafe Sous Terre and have been a regular customer for the last 10 months. They have the best iced mocha lattes they arent too sweetjust perfect. I also enjoy the chocolate croissants and always grab one when theyre available. The environment is perfect for getting work done or chatting with a friend or two. My lab and I just celebrated a surprise baby shower for someone and took the corner booth. Staff were very accommodating and even took a photo of our entire group. I really love this place and am so glad its close to campus. Its also a nice place to come for a few drinks. I love bringing people here to the bar when its their first time in the city. Its the coolest place and very unique. Ill be a regular customer here for sure. ”

I tried the mushroom quiche the other day and it was unreal. The bagels are decent too. They also enforce no laptops or ipad after 5pm which is great if you want to go somewhere to chat with no tech around. ”
